was trying to get some rest as e complain queen had went for a meeting. and was looking @ yahoo news and i saw an article about children dumping their old folk @ nursin home and dont even pay or visit them.reason being is their have their family problems/tight in cash/busy/sick.
ever wonder have you ever done your calculation b4 you put ur old folks to nursing home? have you ever work out something with your sibling to chips in with the fee?
are you that cold blooded till you cant even remember who your parents is? who is the one giving you food and bringing you up giving you a life to live on? aren't they your parents? do you feel for them? they scrimp and save to pull you tru studies, they wrk hard to get you food and yet now you just dump them in nursing home and nv visit them. Do you know how hurt it is?
think of this, when you are old and are unable to feed yourself and ur saving had already been use up for medication, your kids dun1 you at home they find you troublesome. and send you to the nursing home and never visit you, will you be happy? will you get hurt? but sorry you cant blame on others, because the Young's always follow the example the old ones does..so you did this to their grandparents they will do this to you too. i am not cursing any1 who put their old folks @ nursing home, neither am i criticizing those who put their old folks @ home.
but please visit them. they need love & concern too! they give you love & concern when you are young so now you only need to pay them a visit even if you are so busy Sunday you dont even have times? life is like a cycle, it goes round n round n round.
when you are old you will be like them too. do you want yours kids to throw you in nusring home and dont wanna visit you? and you dont get to see your kids and grandchildren. maybe your grandchildren dont even know you exist as they dont see you so often.

Singaporean: No stock!

Britons: Hello, this is John Smith. Did anyone call for me a few moments ago?
Singaporean: Hello, who call huh?

Britons: Excuse me, I would like to get by. Would you please make way?
Singaporean: S-kew me..

Britons: Hey! Put your wallet away, this drink is on me.
Singaporean: No need lah.
WHEN ASKING FOR PERMISSION
Britons: Excuse me, but do you think it would be possible for me to enter through this door?
Singaporean: (pointing at the door) Can ah?
WHEN ENTERTAINING
Britons: Please make yourself right at home.
Singaporean: No need shy one lah!
WHEN DOUBTING SOMEONE
Britons: I don't recall you giving me the money.
Singaporean: Where got?
WHEN DECLINING AN OFFER
Britons: I would prefer not to do that, if you don't mind.
Singaporean: Don't want lah. ?
IN DISAGREEING ON A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION
Britons: Err...Tom, I have to stop you there. I understand where you're coming from, but I really have to disagree with what you said about the issue. ?
Singaporean: You mad ah?
WHEN ASKING SOMEONE TO LOWER THEIR VOICE.
Britons: Excuse me, but could you please lower your voice? I'm trying to concentrate over here.
Singaporean: Shut up lah! ?
WHEN ASKING SOMEONE IF HE/SHE KNOWS YOU..
Britons: Excuse me, but I noticed you staring at me for sometime. Do I know you?
Singaporean: See what, see what?
WHEN ASSESSING A TIGHT SITUATION.
Britons: We seem to be in a bit of a predicament at the moment..
Singaporean: Die lah!!
WHEN TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED
Britons: Will someone tell me what has just happened? ?
Singaporean: What happened ah? Why like that one lah?
WHEN SOMEONE DID SOMETHING WRONG
Britons: This isn't the way to do it. Here, let me show you.
Singaporean: Like that also don't know how to do!
So which would you prefer? Send this to your Singaporean friends and let them have a laugh too. Good day! (^_^ )
